This is my favorite neighborhood restaurant although my go-to chopped salad is now made with romaine instead of Kale and whatever they changed makes it far less tasty, and not as special. The salmon in the salad was cooked to perfection. The meringue desert was billed as a berry desert but lacked berries. Very nice service and atmosphere.
Fined here for the first time with 5 friends. We had great service and the food was great. I am Gluten Intolerant and they have a great selection of GF entrees. I had the shrimp and lobster risotto. Portions were great size(I couldn't finish mine). Prices were reasonable based on the portion size and quality of meal. Definitely going to dine here again.
Always perfect. This place and its owner and staff are 5 % of the time. Sunday brunch is also fantastic with a live band.
Great Greyhawk area restaurant with good pizzas and a great wine list. The atmosphere is higher energy. Overall a very good vibe place.
We loved our dinner at Local Bistro! Christian was a wonderful server and had good recommendations. The paella was flavorful and yummy. Everyone else I was with liked their food as well. The tiramisu was tasty too! The atmosphere here is warm and trendy. We will be back!
Great vibe restaurant. There is inside and outside dining. The wait staff is functionally competent knowing the menu and composition of the dishes. The management is extremely accommodating too. Lovely dining experience. Their French onion soup is filled with onion favors and delicious thick cheese. It's a must try. The arugula salad with strawberries sitting on a bed of goat cheese with honey and a lemon vinaigrette was yummy. Cripes it was good. Their strip steak was cooked medium raw and well seasoned, though I didn't taste it. I had the mushroom ravioli in a mushroom cream sauce which was "lick the plate clean" good. I didn't have any wine or dessert so no comment. The bar was busy though with plenty of sitting around it. Bathrooms are kept clean. It's a place you'll find yourself returning to and why not. I have. Enjoy.
Local Bistro is an upscale Italian-American bistro specializing in custom drinks and pricey entrees, with an airy and upscale dining room. LB does not fail in the food department. We have never had a bad meal in the 5-10 times we've been here. The Arugula Salad is delicious, skirt steak is great, haricot verts (green beans) are cooked to perfection. The gelato is a great way the end a meal. Everything we've tried on the menu is expensive but seasoned and cooked properly. The service is such a mixed bag. We've had service ranging from really nice servers to really mean and petty ones. It definitely throws us off and makes us not come back for a while after we have a bad server. If the service was more consistent, Local Bistro would earn my 5th star. Also, FYI, the owner is charging a service tax. If you don't like paying those, don't come here.
Found this place by accident sure glad I did the food was pretty good the ceaser salad was one of the best I've had mines the egg the dressing was nice and creamy and had the perfect bit to it the pizza was grate loved the mix of fontana and gruyere vert different dough had a little sour flavor to it all round very delicious will go back for that for sure the salmon was good it was dry from being over cooked but pommes puree and pesto saved it the server was ok the only reason for notb5 star was the service charge they say it's so they don't have to raise the menu prices but you are I can't see but till time to pay
Stopped in to check this place out and ended up staying for dinner. The menu is amazing and hard to resist! We got great service in the bar...the wine list is quite large. The menu has something for everyone! We sampled the Italian Guacamole which is different with the basil and sun dried tomatoes, but very tasty and enough for 4 people for sure. If anything I think they could use to dice the tomatoes to make it easier to eat. The gazpacho with nectarines was an absolutely hit! To finish we had the arugula salad with salmon. Which was perfectly prepared. It's atop of a generous portion of whipped goat cheese with honey. Compliments to the chef and staff. Everything was well done! Another suggestion, display this amazing menu outside. It will definitely draw them in.
Post-business travel, I was craving the roasted heirloom carrots... with a Local Manhattan... with a Salumeria pie. Service is as always top-of-the-game (Brendan, Maria, Francisco). Manager Guillermo making the rounds is always good energy. Place is rockin' as usual with a full house. Great food and intimate atmosphere. A trusted favorite in North Scottsdale.
